Faux Roman Shades for Penny’s Nursery
Hot-glued some faux roman shades this weekend and thought I’d give you a little peek. They need a little tweaking (like I made them a little too long) but changing this up only takes another quick glue job. This fabric I bought at Cotton Gin from the remnant section for $3.50 a yard (this weekend it was all 50% off). Great deal!
Here they are…with a little munchkin playing games on my iphone for entertainment.
A wider shot…
See..too long, but with another quick hot glue session and we can have this fixed right up. I have been pretty impressed with how well hot glue does on this type of project. Don’t feel powerless, if you cant afford to have curtains made, with some simple measurements (ha) anyone can make them themselves.
One last shot…Still need to hot glue my accent strip on the panels (sample half falling off in the picture below). The panels are just too dark..and I think the pattern would be fun.
Well…along we go! It’s pretty difficult to work in this room while working around nap and bed times.
Go hot glue something on this beautiful Monday. And don’t worry if it’s not perfect! It can always be re-worked!!!

Amanda I love the new room, so dang cute!!
Thank you Jackie..thats so sweet of you!
Penny Mae is one blessed baby girl to have a "palace" waiting for her.
Funny, I just bought that fabric to recover my dining room chairs (the fabric you are adding to curtains). Love how the nursery is looking!!
