One Piece at a Time

The new Sam Stroud Photography office space I am designing is coming together one piece at a time.   Here is a glimpse of the space. I know what you are thinking…”Dang, thats a big space.” Me too…thats what I am thinking too. Here’s a view from the rear of the space to the front.

And here is from the front looking towards the back.

Here is the first piece in the space. We needed a large credenza that could be the centerpeice of the large area. This one I scored at a thrift store (that sometimes has newer peices of furniture as well). It was marked $600 and I was thinking..”Come on, guys…this is a thrift store.” So, I bartered them down to $350 and decided it would be worth the splurge (rarely so I ever spend this amount on one piece.) Please forgive the iphone quality of this picture.

I got this file cabinet at the same place. I just love the color and it was only $25. I think it will have a fun contrast with the very finished looking pieces.

And this table/desk. This looks a lot like the Parons table I wanted from Ikea and West Elm..both $200 or over, and this I got for $30. I am thinking that with a coat of high gloss white I can make it look like a real Parsons table!

Look how close it is to the West Elm version (this one is $350) Holy crap, huh?

Here are some other pieces I will be adding to the space (hopefully)

Glass top meeting (dining) table to add a meeting space, without taking up much visual space.

Some of these drum lights..dropped over the table and a few other gathering spots…

Mixing in some assorted chairs like these

and maybe these

And then tons of other accessories and TONS of art done by this fine photographer (and great friend) Sam Stroud. Check out this stuff here.

Can’t wait to show you more as it happens!!!

There has been a glass-top table like that hanging out on craigslist for about two months! Don't know if its still there…just thought I'd share. It looks great so far!
