Perfectly Claryn

As Claryn and I were making her bed today, I realized how perfectly her it is. So, I snapped a few shots of what makes it so “her.”

And because this is what happens anytime I get a camera out (she gets in front of the object I am trying to photograph), here she is…And what is that on her nose? Who knows?

Here’s why it’s her:

The ladybug pillowpet. I really wanted to get one to match her room, but she went for red.

The pink octopus….probably the least attractive at the Build-A-Bear place, but the first one she saw, so she went for it.

The random pink blanket she used one night and is now obsessed with.

The side table (chair) she likes to set her favorite “toy of the day” on when she naps. I put a pillow on there if it’s toy-free.

The blue poka dot blanket she must have placed up by her face each night before she falls asleep.

See, she has a very stong opinions on things. She makes her mind up quickly. She gets attached. She is passionate.

Even though I love these qualities in her, sometimes they stress me out. So, these days, I am working on enjoying her passionate side. (I am also working on not allowing all that passion to give me irrational thoughts about her teenage years.)

Seriously.

Because all that passion can have such influence on this world.

And that influence is something I am so excited to be a part of.
