Covering Pictures with Pictures

Are you, like me, a little sentimental when it comes to changing out the pictures in the frames around your house? I love having updated prints of our family..but sometimes I can’t stand to cover over other pictures. This week I had this big, colorful “all feet” print made for our wall, but in order to place it, I had to cover over a sweet picture of Nic and I kissing Caroline when she was 5 months.

GEEEZ..when did it happen that I turned into total mush?

Anyways, I did it and I love seeing a more current representation of our family.

And I switched this one out…worth it.

And I have more prints to switch, but I just couldn’t put this picture of C behind another picture..

And I definitely couldn’t cover this baby up (but I could actually dust it)

But I did NEED to add a Carver family shot to our wall! (which is where all these updated shots came from..a much needed Carver family photo shoot. Thanks Mimi.) How about all those grandkids?!

Anyways, on the scale of real life issues, I would call this a negative 10, but I do wonder if I am alone in my “picture covering issues.”

Anyone? Anyone?

I'm with ya…Do you ever leave the old print behind the new one? I do that sometimes so I can look back.
I love the new pictures you framed!

Amanda – I was reading your blog FINALLY, as I've asked Amy for it several hundred times and kept misplacing where I wrote it down! I have so enjoyed reading about your family and all of your mad craftiness and came across some photos that I was very familiar with! Love them and am glad you did too! Enjoyed meeting you while you were here in TN and I plan to order some fun headbands and things from you. I saw Amy at VBS this morning and she had the cutest floral piece in her hair. So, it made me think to look you up again. Glad I did and I need you to organize my house – that is just my style!!! ;o) Have a wonderful afternoon!
