I found “Clementine” on the side of the road. She just needed a little love… When I found her she looked like this… Now she looks like this…(still waiting to find just the right “pull” for her) Closer up.. I love her. Second chances are the best.

I hinted here I was in major “go” mode lately in the project area. Back story: Since the time I initially painted my living room, I have not loved the way the molding color looked with the wall color. (All the trim in my home is cream. While this is not what I would have preferred, I decided to live with it given I would have to paint, every baseboard, window, door, molding piece throughout my entire home if I wanted to change it.) I have always liked the other main color in my home, Silver Tinsel (Behr), and since I had almost a gallon left, I decided to paint the living room that same color. Here’s the after.. It’s the same color that is in my entryway as well as the den..the space feels nice and unified Oh and

I moved our house around last year and wrote all about it here in case you care to catch up…but with fire/cozy season upon us we decided to make the den a den again. SO enjoying this space and SO should have dusted that side table before I took this picture! Cheers to easy, FREE home changes!

Loving my new Pinterest inspired grocery list holder thingy. All you need… 1. A scrap of your favorite fabric (or snazzy paper) This is a small peice of my curtain fabric in the living room and I like how it ties the two spaces together…something to consider! 2. A frame 3. Marker of some kind Mine has built in lines..handy! Then, just write your list or whatever else on the glass. Wipe down and re-start whenever! Maybe the easiest DIY of this year!

I MIGHT stop hot gluing most things. But..until then..I will. Made some throw pillowcases yesterday with some leftover fabric I had from another project (these were my kitchen valences for a season, yet another hot glue project). Here is how I went about it…I laid the fabric out flat Folded it up like I was wrapping a present and hot glued the seam Glued the edges… And threw that sucker on the couch. Do you ever just want a small change SO badly you can taste it? But you don’t want to spend any money? Do you happen to have a little extra fabric? (or some fabric you want to repurpose? An old sweater? curtain panel? drop cloth?) Make it happen!…it’s quite satisfying. Wonder how long these will last? I’ll let you know!
